It really is criminal how badly your NCOs are paid down there. I’m in Canada and our lowest paid privates make as much as a sergeant in the US. Our sergeants make ~$60-75k a year.

Why? We expect a lot of them to be poor, and uneducated and to die on foreign soil propping up a bunch of bad decisions and repeated mistakes. You guys should pay your soldiers/sailors/airmen/marines better, maybe you’d be able to be a bit more discerning about who you let in.

I live in the city next to Pendleton and most of the Marines from this base are knuckledragger grunts in their first or second year out of Nebraska. Sadly to say its to be expected at this point.
