I’m literally rooting for everyone Black (or of color, for that matter) getting entertainment checks, whilst doing what they love. Obviously, pandering gets spotted and shot down quickly, but for the actual *individuals* getting their coins up and working a union job...I am HERE FOR IT EVERY SINGLE TIME.

It was 2021 in New York City, and I couldn’t help but wonder: where were all the non-caucasians?

Exactly. And while I feel bad for Britney, the impact of Justin’s actions on the two women can’t be compared. Justin fed into an existing problematic double standard that was used to bully Britney. No doubt terrible. But the alleged cheating did not stop her, in fact if I recall correctly, it fed into the ramping up

Justin, take your country-fried, appropriating, smarmy, flat ass, and have an entire Super Bowl’s worth of seats.

(To be fair, that scrutiny is really only coming from one part of America because the other part absolutely STANS for Janet.)

I am enjoying the memes so much more than I did that meh half-time show. Prince is still undefeated.

I have a friend who is excited about that coming to america movie and I cannot understand why

I love this. It reminds me of what else is currently happening in America. Which is white people patting themselves on the back because Joe Biden is moving forward with putting Harriet Tubman on the front of the $20 - Andrew Jackson will remain on the back. Of course, white people see this as a sign of progress and an

“Vogue got too familiar, too fast,”

We know exactly how this went down. This is why we must stay on their shit 24/7. We all have our regular jobs. As Black people, our second job is boxing with racists, and yes it’s exhausting.

Every non-white person in America knew way back in 2011 when he trolled Obama with that whole birtherism conspiracy. The racists and Nazis knew. Every BIPOC and non-cis American knew, as we kept waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Maybe she can score a Depends deal. Alec ain’t getting any younger.

No one pretends to be a victim more than a white supremist.

I’m from Ohio and can confirm that there are a lot of racist white people there.

On that note, who would have ever thought Faye Dunaway would ever be only the third most unlikeable person in the cast of The Champ?

He was clearly influenced by Jon Voigt when they were in The Champ together in the 70's.

Update: Dad came through.

I’m ashamed that I’ve said aloud that I don’t like theatre. What I don’t like are musicals and chitlin’ circuit plays (Madea Anything, My Man Cheats But The Lord Tol’ Me To Stay, etc.). I also don’t particularly like books or plays with a lot of Southern vernacular that’s hard to parse and takes me out of the moment

The Senate was under Democratic control between 2009 and 2015. RBG could have retired in 2013 or 2014 and Obama could have appointed a replacement.

RGB could have retired in 2013 or 14, when the Democratic Party held the Senate. Put in new blood.
