My now deceased son had to be finally diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, after suffering for a long time before he could get the morphine. The VA really piled on with fentanyl, gabipenten (SP), Valium etc. Made a walking zombie out of him.

The ‘hands on’ approach made it fun, rather than ‘look, but no touching’. I should change my handle to Forever in the Grays, for no particular reason.

Agree 100%. The handling has only made things worse. Many, many people who truly need strong pain meds are being denied and really suffering, even so far as to going to the streets with disastrous results.
