I mean, I guess maybe we’re assuming different strategies here? I’m just going by what the commentators said about the Ferrrari stategy at the beginning of the race, and according to that, they chose to sacrifice Kimi, and it didn’t work. But fortunately for them, Vettel got lucky with the VSC.

Nah, Ferrari’s planned strategy was to bring in one car early and one car late, using the first car that pits to (hopefully) slow down Hamilton later on so that the late pitting car could return to the track in 1st place.

I always love seeing Kimi near the top, but unfortunately Alonso’s McLaren seems...not great. Which I guess is an improvement? It’s so hard to see him wasting away in these poor-to-mediocre rides year after year.
