Here’s why I actually don’t care.
This is the stuff of nightmares.
My point is that at least UEFA is trying to address racism. And the notion of a wholesale stadium ban for a game makes a much larger and more visible impact than banning one person for life. At a minimum, I would love to see racism addressed in this manner in American sport.
I mean, at least UEFA is trying. 10 match bans and closed door matches are orders of magnitude more progressive than anything we’ll ever see from the NFL.
