I'm quite old (feel like it at least) so no child, but cops in Britain tend to be of all political stripes. Hey still follow the law though and enforce it, do they not do that where you live? I sometimes worry about what I see in the US and I wonder how much of that is due to the guns you have. I admit I don't

Sometimes all you can do is walk away unless you want a fight. Now it really seems to me that you'd probably agree with him, but something somewhere he wrote upset you and you began to view everything with that. I don't know I'm not you, but I even see people disagreeing with him apologizing for behavior because we

This may sound ignorant but I didn't really finish my primary education. I never knew what the British east India company was until he referenced it in a post. I googled it on my flight (tech is good for some things!) and found out a remarkable amount of history about my own nation I didn't know. I know my country has

Then you and I didn't read the same posts. It seems like you are angry and are taking that out on a target in reach. He laid down his bona fides and explained his point of view clearly to me and apparently many others. I don't see him anywhere saying we need to negotiate with neo nazis I see him saying you guys need

I don't know about that. I respect your opinion and experience but I'm 60 and have been selling farm equipment from England to the American heartland for over 45 years. I'm about to retire, thank god, and work at my son-in laws company for some extra cash. I'm tired. I'm really tired. I see your comment about the

First fuck you, my grandfathers died fighting nazis. Secondly fuck you for equating someone pointing out a fact and calling him a neo nazi supporter. Who the fuck do you think you are? Blocked as fucking well.

Well now I understand why he blocked you. You just instantly launch into this aggressive name calling at the drop of a hat.

Why are you yelling at me? I'm not normalizing nazis. You are just angry which I understand, but there are ways other than using violence at this stage. It just makes this situation worse and worse until all I feel we will receive is more violence. I don't know what to say that will make you understand. Don't you have

moderate means finding a solution more than one side can agree with. I think your problem is the same problem we have. where everyone gets their news and how much they travel. I don't like what I see out there. Everyone everywhere is dividing themselves up into lines. I don't know as much history as some people in

I see this everywhere as I travel a lot. Worldwide people tend to believe only what they see, and most people see very little. I'm… not terribly well educated, but I SEE a lot (I was actually born in ohio, but moved to England at age 8, after my dad died to go live with family), so I tend to have a much more broad

Are they still your facebook friends? It seems they might be closet racists if they feel that way.

Even here in England you see extremism and ignorance on all sides, even where you don't expect it. In my town some of those most supporting Brexit were immigrants who didn't want other people coming in to compete with them. From what I read of his earlier comments and I've found this whole thread fascinating, he

Hey… I've enjoyed a lot of your comments in the past, but I think you are getting overboard here. There are ways to fight against fascism but none of my grandfathers put on a mask and waved a black flag which reminds me of ISIS to do so.

You shouldn't take it to heart. People of all spectrums get really upset when they feel under attack (though I didn't read your comment that way as I think you are right, from my perspective. Even here in Britain we have the Antifa and I've seen the masks and flags myself. It scares me to be honest. Hopefully he will

I vaguely remember a post where he said he was a card-carrying SJW so I find this funny. I've enjoyed most of the comments to and fro here. Now seems exactly the right time to discuss politics and find solutions so these acts don't continue. I see a lot of people just like to get angry when their emotions get riled

Where did he defend the actions of the fascists? I've now re-read the initial thread and it seems like he has supported most of the positive comments against them, while also pointing out he dislikes the antifa organizations. HE is right.

I agree. I have seen long posts from both sides here. I think ultimately I agree with the Catain because he, like me seems to see more of the world than some here and acknowledges that just because ONE side is bad doesn't mean the other side can't be bad in some ways too. Antifa is an actual organization.

I don't understand this… he hasn't defended fascism ONCE? He pointed out that extremes exist on both sides. This is not the first time I've seen this one this very site. You are upset I think because emotions are high. Don't take them to extremes you'll regret later.

This point is nice, why don't you do that instead!

As a beneficiary to the English healthcare system I understand what you are saying. It serves me perfectly well, but my aunt has cancer and her long term care is horrendous. She actually travels out of the country to the EU (I guess we aren't the EU any more) for her cancer treatment.
