So... they’ll have (West) Western yokai then? Like, I saw the corn, which was a good choice, but surely they can’t merely use just Americana objects personified, right? (though I guess there’s the jackalope, at least) Like, what about the various Native American tribes, don’t they have a buncha stuff? Probably plenty…

Looking at the the two versions of the cutscene now.. oh hey, I wasn’t aware that the JP team essentially dubbed over the English VA lip movements. Which.. seems odd I guess, but what works works, I suppose!

Well, it's certainly less spoopy than the original, with charming bits of dialog like "I will avenge" and "Nonono not like this, not like this" being spit out by what could be described as an adolescent Speak & Spell who's been locked in the basement against its will.

And it’s not like there’s a dearth of theme options. (just gotta ignore all those copyrights..)

I think I’ll just play it logically and go with Amaterasu.

My.. memory’s fuzzy, but would it then also work to vote from different wifi hotspots? Say, a coffee shop’s or the neighbor across the street? (unless you were mooching of their wifi already)
