You can watch the Sony conf live. I know IGN has a live feed (I'm watching the EA conf there right now) so if you're up in your corner of the world at 1pm eastern (which is 6pm bst) then you can watch live.

You can get a 3 month sub at the moment for PS+ and I believe it's been said you could get a 1 month sub as well. So if you get a game you want to play online for a bit, you get the sub that suits your needs for as long as you need it ;)

100$ is money's worth to control the UI? Yes it's cool, but you'd be in the severe minority if you feel the kinect is worth it's price simply for allowing you to control the interface. Now add in even just a few games that use it brilliantly, then it's worth it. (imo)
