This is the movie that put Tony Shalhoub on the map. And rightfully fucking so. It’s delightful.

Spider-Man 1’s honest, non-manipulated affection for Queens does so much to establish the character and authenticity of Peter, it cannot be overstated. Fuck the CGI Times Square sequence; the shots of Peter learning to swing through Queens are EVERYTHING.

‘Restoration’ is a very watchable B-level historical drama.  Not a great film, but an excellent rainy-day hangover film.

Of the many joys ‘Commnity’ has given us, one of the greatest was seeing Kevin Corrigan’s version of ‘overacting’ as the drama professor. Casting a veteran underactor as a professional ham was an inspired choice, and fucking hilarious.
