@xsbs: I have plenty going on. Too much, I wish I could sit on my ass all day and play games.

@DrDankstone: So it's not cheating to have more precise directional control, but it is cheating to have a button that fires faster? What's the difference?

@ihearthawthats: No argument here. That's probably the strongest argument for it not being "cheating" - fighting games are (usually) inherently meant to be played on sticks. Fighters adapted to consoles, not the other way around.

@sereal: I know what a rapid fire mod is. That's not really my point. Whether it's an extreme difference or a subtle one (ie auto recoil adjust and/or rapid fire modification vs just having a better directional control with a stick ), the point is there's still a *difference*, and the playing field is no longer equal.

@izikavazo: What, are they going to send a Nerd Strike Force to scold you for taking advantage of their sloppiness?

Ok, so if it's cheating becuase the playing field is no longer level with this controller, does that mean those who invest in a Tournament Edition fightstick for Street Fighter IV and play against D-pad users are also cheating, since it offers turbo settings and more precise control?

The dash does run a bit faster it seems. I hate the light gray text on the white background of many of the blade windows though - it is VERY difficult to see if your eyes aren't that great. Microsoft, take note.

Wow, guess MS forgot to mention during their grandiose announcement of this that apparently a (large?) percentage of us won't even be able to partake.

Hell yes you should. The new-model version is awesome, and this is coming from someone who owned an older model, essentially paying for the console twice, without any regrets.

Among the Living better be the newer version with John Bush on vocals. Far better.

@Wheat_Thins: While I absolutely love BFBC2 and it's probably my multiplayer "Game of the Year" - whatever that's worth - I've also enjoyed Reach a lot. I've yet to actually run into very, very few of the screaming, angry kiddies so far, and I've played the hell out of it.

All the Halo releases have had pretty solid soundtracks. Halo 2 (both vol 1 and 2) and Reach are probably my favorites, at least based on what I've heard in Reach. I have a preorder in for the soundtrack. ODST was probably my least favorite, but it wasn't terrible.

@TheGMan323: Molyneux doesn't make bad games.

It's hard to even care about Half-Life 2 Episode 3, or Half-Life 3, or whatever is next at this point. It's dangerously close to DNF territory for me.

Rock Band 3 seems to offer both - you don't HAVE to use a pro guitar for RB3. It may not have the over the top goofy presentation of Guitar Hero, but I don't have time to look at the backgrounds when I'm playing this kind of stuff anyway.

Great stuff. The peak is when there's a Boston player at the FT line and you can see him still standing there n the background.

Balrog always gets the best alt costumes. Although Fei Long's Kato costume is pretty cool too.

@Culebra: Billy Mitchell needs to get a haircut and go back to slinging his stupid hot sauce. Cut it out. Mitchell!

@LeepNasty: This is going to backfire. Like you said, people aren't going to care because it's not a WWE game. That's not going to change. And by switching it to this 3D avatar crap, they're risking alienating the only people that WOULD buy the game.
