At the bare minimum, "sooo." And never, ever two exclamation points or question marks. One or three, but never two.

But, y'know, only for twenty minutes or so...

Jessica Nigri has celebrity status, and is a name anyone who dabs in geekdom will recognize. Same goes for Yaya and Vampy.

He doesn't actually mean anything. He just takes all the "best words" and strings them together, confident in their cumulative value.

Drop a few words and you can make this bit work to the tune of Last Caress:

Cruz had something to say
Thing weren’t going his way
He summoned from a twilight sleep
Fiorina to be his veep

Well, yes, sensible ideas that should seriously be implemented don't really work as jokes...

Remember how Quayle was regarded as a threat to keep people from assassinating Bush Sr.? Same deal being proposed here.

Please don’t unleash the races of Dungeons and Dragons on me, I’m already running away like in this 1925 Buster Keaton film Seven Chances from thousands of women bloggers from Brooklyn who decided that they should write for ELLE not me.

He’s just eating the kernels off of one end. It’s not like he’s going to try to consume his whole meal that way.

Once, in high school, I was meeting a friend at the library. I saw him sitting on a bench outside, so I came up from behind and jumped over the bench to land sitting next to him. He proceeded to explain how that totally exemplified the ways in which he was a modernist and I was a postmodernist.

As someone who's studied literary and cinematic deconstruction, I can say with the utmost confidence that it means she's babbling.

I typed that comment, then I decided it didn't contribute anything significant, so I hit "delete." And yet it immediately posted...

Speaking (typing) as a man, I can attest that the reason I started paying particular attention to Warren is that both my wife and my mother are big fans of hers. And I assure that neither of those women would be deemed "not too threatening."

So, nobody’s opinion on a political matter has any relevance unless they are actively working in government? I’m pretty sure the reason we vote, and have opportunities to express our opinions to our government representatives, is that they’re supposed to take the needs of people other than politicians into account.

I believe that was an idiomatic use of "cannot," meaning "by any reasonable standard ought not be permitted to."

It all comes down to the initial deal James L. Brooks made with the network. They could keep this stuff off of pretty much any other show, but, as I understand it, they basically can't stop The Simpsons from doing anything as long as it doesn't violate FCC guidelines.

I’d say this behavior is exactly what I associate with “class.”

So, to Fox News, “Who can beat Hillary Clinton?” translates to, “Can Hillary Clinton win?”

Speaking as a white writer (admittedly, not one who has found any great success), I tend to create a lot of my characters based in whole or part on people I’ve known throughout my life. Generally, they default to whatever race that person was. Having grown up in Orange County, I admit that I don’t tend to write a lot

I agree about it being an artistic choice in this particular movie. I was more making a gripe about modern popular cinema in general.
