Then that would defeat the entire purpose of Minecraft. Minecraft was meant to be blocky. Changing it to be not blocky would piss off a LOT of players.

It’s only updating the graphics fidelity and possibly fix more bugs. It’s not going to break your mods. Only way it would actually break your mods is a full-blown engine remake.

I got my license key not too long ago. You just have to be patient and wait. You will probably receive a email from the CEO with the license key by tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure GitHub won't like the file if it has passwords in it, it doesn't work well with those kinds of files, I'm afraid. You can only commit files that don't have passwords in them, such as the README file that Lifehacker explained in this post.
