I still don’t really get the Steam controller. It’s always going to be less effective than an XB1 controller for games that are built for a gamepad, and less effective than a K&M for games designed for a K&M. It's a compromise either way. Why not just have an XB1 controller for gamepad games and a K&M for K&M games?

Everything you describe is exactly how I feel about MMOs. Every so often one comes along with a new hook and I think “maybe this will be the game that gets me into MMOs. Now I can play with all my MMO-loving friends.”
