Man, be careful. It may have died down now, but I said something similar shortly after release and got reamed for it around here.

Right there with you.
See, this was my problem. I was never invested in the characters, and I couldn’t really find any reason to care about them beyond "these are the good guys, and these are the bad guys." It made the (admittedly excellent) actions scenes lack the emotional punch they needed. Jumping from car to car can only be so…
Maybe I’ve just blocked it from my memory but I don’t remember anything positive from Immortals. That's the only movie I've ever seen that actually made me feel a little offended by how bad it was.
“...and then Stan's dad shot his dick off! It was so hardcore!"
...the man yelled into the void, just to hear the sound of his own voice.
I have to take a break from Gawker every now and then for the same reason.
Well, sorry you feel that way.
Which part of the localization process is censorship.
There are those that would want to see those scenes or that material, and are not able to simply because they live somewhere that isn’t Japan? Or because someone else thinks they shouldn’t see it? Seems kinda shitty for them, honestly.
Is that what this was about? I honestly can't tell.
You’re cherry picking quotes and ignoring context, including your own words. I was pretty sure you weren’t actually up for an honest discussion. Now I’m positive.
You do understand what a culture is right?
Then one way to do that is to employ censorship.
Same here.
I didn’t equate the two; you did. A localization specialist is just an editor who edits for a specific audience. You're the one who compared their job to censorship, not me.
It's not censorship, but I wouldn't call it okay. It's still racist.
If Steam is doing it, then yes. You’re catering to the will of a gatekeeper, so that’s censorship.
Sorry, I’m not sure which of my comments you’re replying to, and your summary of my argument is so wildly off the mark I can’t begin to guess what you’re referring to.
Where do you draw the line between “objectionable” and “not marketable.”
