Describing DeSantis as “reasonably competent” is very generous.

Keep being a proponent of cheats, I don’t care.

I suppose so, but there are already plenty of people in the multiplayer community with the best cars, and I can’t say it’s ever occurred to me to give a shit how they got them.

Jesus, imagine the damage that could be done by another Donald Trump, except this time he’s actually reasonably competent.

This seems like a huge mistake. On the day I’m getting Halo Infinite included for free, Bungie is going to take away Beyond Light and then turn around and ask for $30 for a scant “30th anniversary pack” - months before asking for another $40 for Witch Queen and $10 for a new season pass?

With GTA you punch the code in and immediately start playing. When you do this Forza ‘hack’ you go through the process and then watch the game play itself.

But Forza Horizon already gives cars like candies. you literally start with three cars, two of them being supercars. And you’ll get 20 more in like 2 hours of gameplay.

The rubber band thing is more synonymous with the act of punching in the cheat. It’s not part of the game, it’s the ritual you have to go through to get to the stuff you want.

That’s a bit like saying punching in the cheat code in GTA3 was “the least fun” way to play.

It’s a bit like punching in a cheat code back in the day. If that makes the game more fun for you, go for it.  Some people just want to drive all the cars.  They aren’t looking for any kind of “progression system” to gate off the content they really want to experience.

Oh, I’m sure there was QA.  But QA’s job is to identify bugs, not fix them.  I guarantee these things were identified, and the decision was made to release as is rather than invest in fixing them and delaying the release.

Fishing, similar to golf, is mostly just a way to ruin being outside on a nice day.

I mean, there’s a lot to hate. They’re objectively poorly made, and R* removed the ability to buy the original games to replace them with this trash.

Which is why you can be absolutely sure the developers knew about it, and R* chose to release the game anyway.

This isn’t the fault of QA.  This is more likely the fault of executives saying “we need a product for Q4, release what you’ve got.”

It’s kind of baffling to me. These are the titles on which R* built their reputation. This is doing demonstrable damage to their brand.

Please don’t bother replying again. I know I won’t.

Lastly; it’s not “back to the grey’s” with me, as I was fully verified. Hence my original comment not being grey. However, it seems critiquing an article got under John’s skin enough that he needed to feel a bit of power to set his day straight.

Yes, because the original is not “on rails” in the sense that the new one is, and he goes on to explain the difference. You can chase down an enemy across the battlefield without being told you’re going the wrong direction if you stray a few feet off the chosen path. You can’t do that in this game.

You know, just like the original game that he goes on to praise.
