Because VR games built from the ground up for VR are almost universally better experiences than games that are built for a monitor, and then have VR bolted on as a feature.  

Well shit, I was thinking about getting the Index controllers just for this game, so that works out well for me.  

You can get the Index controllers and use them with your current headset.

It does in order to qualify as a “PC Headset.”  I have a feeling this game is going to require the additional hardware.  

Force pull.  It lets you grab the vines from several feet away, even mid jump.  No more worrying about missing the vine when the vine comes to you.

They’re pretty finicky, but you’ll get an upgrade before too long that makes that issue no longer a problem.  

A note on the graphical issues: I’ve found they get worse if you’ve left your game suspended for any period of time. I’m thinking there’s a memory leak somewhere that needs plugging.

Sure, but any comparison that’s narrative only will always be biased towards movies because narrative is all they are.  That comparison completely ignores the portion of the experience where games excel, and movies have no footing: interactivity.

You’ve never bought a DVD? And even in your example, you’re spending about $2 an hour, which is equivalent to $60 for a 30 hour game. And you can drink and smoke while you play, too.

I don’t get this idea that a 30 hour experience isn’t worth $60 when people regularly spend $20 on a 2 hour movie.
