The article was 100% tagged as NSFW, and it had a headline that made very clear what the content would be. Moreover, both the apology above, and your comment that I replied to, appear to be more about the content of the article itself, rather than how clearly that content was called out up front.

They’re just as underage (and just as fictional) in all of the fan fic and shipping stories that this site has expressed support for many times in the past. This response just seems inconsistent and overblown to me.

I did, and I’ve addressed that point in several other comments.

1) I don’t think “Pre-teen” is an accurate description of the images that were shown. Those models were based on characters that were teenagers within the fiction, and portrayed in film by (at that point) adults in the depictions those models were based upon.

Not when the “depictions” are low-poly models, having unconvincing sex, no. May as well clutch your pearls over some kids arranging their Barbie dolls in compromising positions.

Eh, it showed images of low-poly animated characters having unconvincing sex.  I have a hard time understanding why that’s inappropriate on a site that specifically is supportive of the sort of fan fic and shipping that depicts exactly the same sorts of scenarios.
