E36 M3 starter motor.... you can go in from the top and take off the entire intake manifold, or you can remove the exhaust from the headers back, unbolt the transmission support, and use a 36" extension to get at the bolts that hold the starter to the bell housing. Either way is a PITA.

Mine had your typical mix of early-00s hand-me-downs, hyundais, kias, etc. there were a few of us “car guys” that all parked on one end of the lot and chilled out sometimes. One guy had a Ford F-150 Lightning, which was freaking fast. He got it after his 1970 Ford was stolen and insurance finally paid him for it.

I’m constantly amazed at the people that use the terms “snowflake generation” and “safe space” as an insult.

Also no problem thus far in 100F+ Arkansas and Oklahoma summers where my car has lived outside year-round.

Got that one a few years ago. No complaints here, does what it needs to. Heck, they’re so cheap I get mightgrab another and run one in the rear window as well.

You could clearly see the corners of the car and had a great sense of situational awareness. On the other, the center gauges annoyed me to hell

Not sure where you got that number. They’re 1450 wet.

I agree. Having owned a NA spec E36 for the past six years, I’ve had to replace very few things outside of regular maintenance and consumables. For an 8k car, I can’t ask for much more. It’s quick, handles well, is balanced, and with a bit more power can keep up with much newer —and more expensive— cars. With a few

You lost me on that second one

Why would it take them until ‘20 to release a car they pretty much already have developed?
