Or focuses on the evidence rather than how his victims are dressed or how they speak....
And now, let’s all cross our fingers that a jury of his peers focuses on the evidence rather than how much they love Ignition (Remix).
That was my question too. The LA Times Article has a source saying it’s because she is actively involved in steps to defend her son. I can see why that would be a problem for an organization with a core belief that the victim should always be believed.
Why do women pay the price for men’s behavior?
Why? If she did something like verbally attack the assaulted person, then she should definitely resign. But, I’m not comfortable with parents having to resign from advocacy organisations they are passionate about because their child has done something against their beliefs.
Is it just me, or does the statement by Time’s Up come off as weird and unprofessional? Why list unproven allegations against a family member in a statement about the CEO’s departure?
I can’t even choose who looks best. Everyone looks amazing. I’m so damn glad I’m black.
When news of Smollett’s alleged assault broke, there was an outpouring of support from people in all walks of life.
All of this screams raging personality disorder to me. Getting caught and then doubling down? He just seems unwilling to accept any responsibility for his actions at all, and also seems to look at them as a means to gain ever more attention for being wronged, except most of the world has stopped playing along.
Few child actors grow up to be stable individuals. It’s the nature of that fucked-up industry combined with, perhaps, the nature of the people whose life goal is to pretend to be other people.
$100,000 bond and the potential to face 3 years in prison is way overblown
I don’t know him personally, yet I am deeply disappointed by all this *palm-front up-and-down hand motion*. All our people have is our truth, and when that fundamental philosophical force is compromised, not even love or hope can survive the loss.
So now brandishing a gun is free speech. A fucking child playing with a toy gun in the park was murdered by the police, but a grown man showed a gun after spouting a racist rant, and that’s cool.
Taking the words right out of my mouth: this will receive less coverage than a C-list actor burying himself, because yeah.
Yes, I am sure that this real act of terrorism will recieve the same coverage as the Smollett case. I bet good old Tucker will give it wall to wall coverage too. I share your (implied) cynicism.
Do none of these white supremacists know that if they fled corrupt USA to the lands of their vaunted pasty ancestors they’d be barraged with national health, 6 week annual vacations, $20/ hr burger flipping jobs, large trade unions, excellent public education, free college, corporate boards that are 50% labor by law,…
As someone who lives a block from Silver Spring, I’d like to know more too, like how close my house is to a basement of bullets.
The settlement was a pretty huge indicator, and it’s not just the Tom Brady part. The NFL essentially never settles and the list is long. It’s kinda like the distinction between a confession and an admission. Kap came out on top.
I can’t fault Kaep for taking the settlement. He won up to that point in court, but that winning streak was unlikely to continue.
