There’s a lot of debate about the term - narrative podcast, fiction podcast, audio drama, and more. Many consider “fiction podcast” to be an umbrella term, that can include RPGs, improv, audio drama, audio fiction comedy, and more.
If you want more great audio drama/fiction podcasts, they had a strong turnout at PodCon this past weekend. Check out #AudioDramaSunday, or search for PodCon on Twitter for a lot of the shows that were there! Some favorites of mine:
And I am feeling Claudia in this Chili’s tonight!!! WOOO!!
We do! We did a list of some exciting book releases coming this month: https://io9.gizmodo.com/get-started-on-your-2019-reading-list-with-all-these-ne-1831323124
The Star Wars trailer guy (i think he only does it for the TV shows and the movie ones go out to an agency but I might be wrong) truly went OFF with this one. Superbly well done.
We actually debate a lot about if Killing Eve counts as our wheelhouse (we usually only do genre stuff) but if we could I think we would!
I fought for the Dragon Prince! I agree!
Yes thank you! The show’s writing and character development is so strong!
Val was really a punch to the gut. She was an instantly like-able character.
I think, much like Kylo Ren, the idea of a conventionally attractive white man being the villain is an important, and relevant one, as well. Missed opportunity, I agree.
I definitely get why they didn’t use him, and our hindsight is 20/20, but I like to dream.
don’t get me wrong, I hope that they turn this Snoke ship around and make me interested, I’m just a big Thrawn stan so I just might be biased.
I love this, but I also love the theory that the thing she loves most right now is Yaz, and it didn’t have anything she wanted to show her because what she wanted was already there ;-)
Missy would have been phenomenal, especially since the Doctor/Master relationship is just so interesting and has always been so pivotal to the show. Theirs is the ultimate friends to enemies to lovers. (Always reminded me of Elphaba/Glinda or now Adora/Catra)
I’ve been waiting for the Leia buns since the promo photos and I’m so happy
Oh god I also love how the Doctor is not only empathetic to people’s loss on the outside (not just trying to help them). She actively told Hannah she was sorry for her mother’s loss, and tries to make people feel better. Interesting how the female Doctor has a lot more social tact and empathy. I’d like to chalk it up…
Also the frog becoming a sign of the abstract in both Doctor Who and the Good Place is hilarious

LOVED this episode except that I wish the Solitract had tried to look like someone the Doctor loved and missed to trap her as well, like River Song, or even Rose or Jack.
