Lacey is also all over the Hallmark channel. She’s been working non-stop. It’s not Cannes, but she’s not turning tricks in Dubai.
She does voice acting for cartoons, which honestly seems like a cool gig and way more chill than making movies.
I thought the point of that movie was that EVERYONE in high school is kind of terrible?? I was definitely frenemies with a Janis Ian “outsider” type when I was a teenager, so her character was a little too real for me.
This. And the famous/infamous stew is pretty great too. I’m glad I missed the whole appropriation scandal about the stew when it happened because I’m sick of people’s stupid. The whole point of cooking and living in a place like New York is blurring culinary boundaries. It would be one thing if she were touting…
The movie name is a meant as an in-joke.
I recently bought her previous book and have found that I could cook everything so far meat-free and still found it delicious. She really likes recipes with heaps of veggies, legumes, and pastas that are super savoryyyyyy. I relate to the author so much in my general disdain for the bandwagon, but this one is legit.
Sing this to the tune of, “Everything Is Awesome!” from The Lego Movie, and I’m SOLD. Everything’s a taco!!! Everything is cool when its in a tortilla!!
I just realized Janis Ian was played by Lizzie Caplan. Also, did every actress from this movie go on to have success except Lindsay Lohan??
When will yours be released? I’m in.
I 100% would
I just went down a rabbit hole after checking out her Instagram. She addressed this question in a video where she answered questions from people and said something like 80% of her book is either vegetarian or super adaptable to be vegetarian.
I mean she probably deserves this fame because she’s figured out the art of cooking in a cramped NYC kitchen, on a budget limited as much by space as her salary, using only ingredients that fit in her tiny-ass cupboards and fridge. Those constraints are what make her recipes almost universal. Me, I just make…
I remember trying Sunday Riley’s products and not being so hype on them and wondering what was wrong with me. Aha!!
I feel like it might be a symptom of being an asshole.
Modern Love, is noteworthy for its nuance and contemporary understanding of intimacy.
I haven’t seen it on a plane, but I’ve seen it in many public places like doctor’s office waiting rooms and restaurants in the past few years. Sometimes, it’s a parent letting their tween kid watch a TV show or movie, but it’s often young adults (i.e., Millennials and Gen Zs) who can’t be bothered to put on headphones.
Before the internet, we just chain-smoked for the duration.
