I'm not saying that stress is an excuse for binge drinking. But the school is so stressful that when high school students or parents of high school students ask me if they/their kids should go there, I say that unless they/their kid is pre-med, no, I don't recommend it. And if the kid is pre-med, I always ask what

I went to Hopkins too, and I had friends in SAE. That said, one of their nicknames was "Sexual Assault Expected." Just...yeah.

I went to Hopkins (not a med student), and since I've graduated I've heard from prospective employers that we are considered to be really tough because it is so brutal. I've heard from friends who went to Harvard and Brown that the hardest part was getting in.

I support this. I went to a fancy top-tier college all 4 years and wish I'd gone to a community college for the first two. Would have saved a lot of money!

I'm so sorry that you lost Peaches! She sounds wonderful, and that makes me so mad that someone(thing?) would do that to her!

My grandma, who grew up super Mormon in Utah, said she played with a Ouija board at a birthday party ONCE when she was 13. They all thought it was silly, until all the lights went out, the doors slammed shut, and the table they were playing on lifted up in the air and slammed down.

WHOA, it was YOU? That's the first time I've heard that about a dark figure watching you sleep!

Ugh. Laundry rooms are so creepy!

Didn't the Zodiac killer do this too? <shivers>

It's so fascinating the reports of people feeling depressed and leaving jobs during a haunting. It makes me wonder if any of my episodes of depression were due to my sensitivity to spirits...

I am so sorry this happened to you. Hugs to you.

The teacher voice is the best! Not saying it works every time, but it has saved my ass more than once!

Terrifying!

If you read the whole thread, you'll see that sleep paralysis can happen multiple times over someone's life, not just once.

That's so interesting! I dated an asshat once, and when we started dating, things would start moving. I'd do the dishes, and put them all in the drying basket, and then watch TV in the other room. I'd hear something in the kitchen, and find Tupperware in the middle of the floor. After we moved in together, I'd

Also, my brother has a pretty creepy story. Last year he got really sick and had to have surgery, so I went to help him and his wife out. I stayed in the spare room, which faces woods at the back. There were no blinds on the windows, and I hated sleeping under them, certain that one night I would wake up and see a

I always think I'll see someone/something looking in! I was catsitting in upstate New York recently, and the woman who owned the place had giant glass windows and skylights all over the house, and no curtains! The TV room was in the finished basement — more windows everywhere! The back of the house faces woods — I
