Aye, it does. His books are very much about exploring the characters and giving the world-building a secondary stance. Give it time and don’t binge it till the last few hundred pages. It is indeed worth the wait.

It does indeed. This series tend to be steady, and I did have a hard time getting into it but it is terrific as a bigger overarching plot.
