As someone who has been a Store Manager with GS for almost 20 years, there is no “incentive” centered around the Circle of Life initiative. The Circle of Life has been around for almost the entire time I’ve worked for GS, it is more of an “ecosystem” that benefits each customer in the ways they choose to shop with us.

In my opinion, there’s only one good reason to buy a new game over a pre-owned game (physical copy), and that’s if there’s a code in the new game for something that I want and that would cost more than the price difference.

Sigh, I hate to be the guy interrupting the circlejerk, but this is only partially true. The circle of life is meant to encourage all sales. I know the numbers game sucks with because of it, but that’s part of the job, if you don’t like it, leave. Never once have I, in my entire time at gamestop, been told to hide

I currently work for GameStop. Yes, COL is a huge part of our business. However, if someone wants a new game, I’m gonna give it to then. Some customers prefer to purchase preowned so they can utilize the 7 day “Like it” guarantee. Why not have the extra security, if the game sucks, return it for full money back? I
