“Tolkien has almost ruined writing for me”

and lucky, lucky us.

You do bring up a good point. Gondolin only fell by treason...

was thinking the same. If you going to get one castle from middle-earth on that list, it’s either Utumo or Angband.

verdade.

well, to be fair, even if you had been born before the start of the age of man you would never be a wizard too, unless you had been born in Valinor..
But I can get your point. Although I always wanted to be an elf, so I already knew, at start, that I'd have no luck being that :P

that was kinda of the point of it, though. The end of the age of myth and the start of the age of man.

I've stopped reading them every year, but I still read them once in a while, whenever I feel like it has been too long ago.

When I was around 13 years old I was offered the Foundation trilogy and the Lord of the Rings, and that shaped my future love for all things sci-fi and fantasy.

(oh, I know. I'm just the most prominent one. Or at least, so I like to think ;) )

Oh so many good politic jokes to make and no one to get them.

I have a goatee too, so we must really be in the darkest timeline.

and it does sword fights!

unless that horse is a unicorn.

yeah, you can tell it's the same idea, but while the Penguin edition seems to be a flag painted onto something, the portuguese seems to be a actual flag made of cloth.
I'm guessing it was more a question of "we can't actually use that cover" than a decision to improve on the penguin one.

I have that cover, but the portuguese version (it was a gift, when i can, I rather buy books in the original language):

thank you, I was trying to decide if I'd explain that Sauron only stole the palantir, but you've already said it, so no need for me to.

interesting.

Hey. I liked SEED!
