No - thank YOU for seeing the point. How are we ever going to start a dialogue if we can’t even ask the question? I read Root for the same reason I read Jezebel; I know that the commenters frequenting these blogs have vastly different opinions and viewpoints than I do - that’s the point.

So feel guilty, keep your head down and don’t ask questions.

The fact that you think I am offended instead of just making a point that you seem to have missed may also say something about you.

Ah, I see. So when you make a negative statement about a group of people, you’re really only talking about a subset.

You picked the perfect screen name. You got my point exactly. Thanks.

So you would base all of that on *your interpretation* of a post without any other information? Without talking to me?

Was the author? ; )

Sorry. Wasn’t aware that a pro-black blog had to be inherently anti-white by it’s very nature.

Ah, so then the title actually means “How to protest without offending some white people”.

So right where I am then? I don’t need to do anything?

Just curious; I’m not offended at all. In fact, if I actually cared about pro sports, I’d take a knee with you.

Honestly, for me it’s a daily habit along with email and news. Can’t tell you how many deals I’ve gotten; in fact one just arrived today.

Gee, all Republicans too. Go figure.

I’m still not completely clear on whether I actually was compromised (thanks for your ‘clarity’ Equifux) but like you, I’m not taking any chances.

I’d like add what a great job lifehacker has been doing on the coverage. I mentioned this in Kristin’s article but it bears repeating; I feel like I got the best information I could have gotten during this hack and it’s helped me not freak out and instead take proper, timely actions. Also having the information

Kristin - Just wanted to say that you and the other Lifehacker staff writers have been just on point with the info since the breach was announced.

Thing is, I doubt anyone is going to be using any of this information for the next 90 days anyway and will wait it out. Also, I’d be more concerned about charges to existing lines of credit.

I’m going the freeze route. I don’t need to get any new cards and actually dumped one this year. I’m carrying very little balance these days and don’t foresee that changing.

This was the question I raised in the comments on your last article; apparently I was correct then...

Umm, you might want to read that agreement VERY closely before you sign up for their monitoring service. That “free” offer appears to come with a high price - namely waving up your rights to sue.
