I totally get it….but 15% of all white collar criminals end up in these camps. They’re nonviolent offenders whose crimes are serious, but don’t warrant incarceration with angry, violent inmates. Who do you think those people are? We don’t hear about them bc they’re not in the public eye. She happens to be, so we hear

you do realize that the vast majority of people in those camps are not wealthy right? If anything we should be advocating for more of this kind of prison for most non violent offenders.

theres someting in my eye

This is terrible news. RIP Mr Hauer. Thank you for your contributions to my life.

“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

I’m straight as the day is long but... damn, that’s a bit of beefcake right there.

The thing is, these are guidelines, not hard and fast rules. I think it’s up to every parent to determine how screen time affects their kids, and plan accordingly. Personally, I have noticed that my kids (5 yr boy, 3 yr girl) get really crazy and hyperactive if they sit in front of a TV or tablet for over an hour, so

If I have children (and the way my love life is going I probably won’t) my goal would be 0 hours per day. I want my kids independent of tablets, cell phones, tv, and the internet for as long as possible. It’s a tool it’s not your entire life. I see so many damn kids that are being raised by a freakin tablet instead of

That’s the primary issue with most people. He’s proof that people don’t age out of it.

Can I get one where it doesn’t feel like I’m pulling teeth trying to get a conversation going.

Yes! Thank you. There's such demonizing of psychiatric meds sometimes. I have seen peoples' lives literally do a 180 thanks to, oh, I don't know, Haldol.

Right, and the narrative of "our over-medicated society" is dangerous in that it contributes to the stigma surrounding psych meds. Some are over prescribed, sure, but others are very necessary & life saving for lots of people.

Reproduction doesn't have to be someone's absolute first priority for them to still miss it if it were taken from them; whether or not they're an achiever/innovator. Most people will still miss it.

All these cultural messages say that the hero gets the girl. And of course, everyone is the hero of their own story!

It's probably the result of a long cultural history of women being objectified and presented as prizes or goals to men, and the cultural residue of woman-as-property. There are a ton of articles about how various types of media portray women as rewards men are supposed to get just for waking up every day, so when

What is it with men and whining about rejection? Do they honestly feel they are entitled to fuck anyone they want to? I've been rejected by plenty of men, you know who I don't hate as a group? MEN.

I think Rabin missed the point.  A decade later this is clearly the best-in-genre, and rilly funny.

Were we watching the same film? I love this movie.

Ian Roberts…
…is indeed the best thing in this. However, the movie as a whole is quite ridiculously enjoyable. When I first watched it, I was really surprised at how hilarious it actually was.
