Actually there are conversion boxes on Amazon that will split off 5.1 optical from HDMI and pass the video through. Seems important if you run the PS4 into a PC monitor without speakers. These can be had for $30 so assuming they work well not having optical isn’t a big deal.

Do you live in a big city? I live in DC and 76k is pretty good but it is not ridiculous for someone wit ha degree/experience at all. Keep in mind rent here starting out for an entry level of nice 1BR apt is 1600-1800$. I am sure Tokyo is worse.

A lot of games are easy on normal. Especially games like Witcher with optional side missions it is hard to balance. Can’t you just up the difficulty to accommodate the higher experience?

I really miss 1986-1996 X-Men. Really up until 2001-2002 was pretty good. I enjoyed there not being a million series at once. There was X-Men and Uncanny X-Men. Throw in a few character miniseries and occasional X-Treme X-Men and X-Men Unlimited type runs and that was just perfect.
