I can’t say I miss old Kotaku but I do miss that fish. The first time I got out of the greys was when I shopped the Kotaku fish onto a Far Cry 3 ad.

with great power comes great responsibility

The fact that you need to put this tag (A warning that some might find them a little NSFW.) in every post that’s a little risqué makes me weep for the memories of the old Kotaku and its Kotaku fish.

I bet it says “INSERTCHAMPIONNAMEHERE”

Congratulations Best Picture Winner

Could depend on the observer. The person who is awesome might be inclined to argue that his/her awesomeness is analytic a priori, while observers seeking evidence of awesomeness might argue it is synthetic.

On a followup: If a priori, synthetic a priori or analytic a priori?

I’d say it’s posteriori since it’s heavily dependent on the results.

First lesson you learn in Improv classes is the concept of ‘Yes, and...’
The idea being that when someone starts a scene and asks how your new job is going, you agree (The ‘Yes’ part) that you got a new job; and add to the scene. (The ‘And’ part). (My new job is very strange, they require...)

Thing is, when you start

The question is, is awesome a priori knowledge or a posteriori?

That’s what I figured. Another good analogy is Blind Boxed toys and figures. There’s a slim chance of scoring a rare chase figure, but you’re never going to walk away empty handed.

Or you could read the librarian’s actual response suggesting that donating books to a library in an already wealthy, predominately white neighborhood is dumb, giving suggestions as to better places to choose, but nah the White House’s narrative makes for better clickbait, good job AV Club!

I’ll definitely second this, as a holder of a Computer Science degree. RPG Maker was my first foray into game making, too. It’s a great entrance point. I haven’t touched Unreal at all, myself, but from my experience with Unity and plain-old OpenGL, I’d also recommend Game Maker Studio as a good middle-ground to anyone

As a software developer focused primarily on UI, I absolutely love it. I think it should be something that Nintendo should go as far as enforcing the consistency. It goes a long way.

A lot of users get enjoyment out of having an aesthetically pleasing home screen, I don’t see why that’s ‘pathetic’.

The same reason people purchase/install custom themes for software and apps, or buy stylish cases and covers for their hardware. All about having something nice to look at in a product you spend a lot of

It’s not. For some people (like me) it’s important, well organized and good looking icons. And there’s a simple thing, if I don’t like something I just simple not buy it. People are actually helping this developers to sell more copies by making good design. I know that some people doesn’t even care what shit to drive

You can definitely sell your creations made with RPGMaker (PC versions). Their licensing terms are set up to allow you to sell your game as long as you’re not infringing on any third-party copyrights. If you’re using materials from the official RTP or add-on packs you should be fine.

Games made from RTP materials are

That’s not how shaders work though. The process generally looks like: bind shader -> issue drawing commands -> repeat until everything is drawn. There’s no bind shader to a specified area. The graphics hardware doesn’t even have a concept of area, that’s all vector-matrix calculus to transform coordinates relative to

Now that is some justice!
