Sorta. You’re right about trademarks being different than copyright - while they’re both a form of IP rights, they’re different categories. Trademarks apply to names, logos, etc., while copyright applies to the creation of original work. Generally speaking, copyright cannot be genericized; original works are by…
Doomfist has a surprising amount of mobility options available to him. Obviously his rocket punch is great for covering distance, but his rising uppercut + seismic slam combo can also get him out of tight spots. His cooldowns are relatively short as well, and with the help of his passive it’s not too hard to hard…
Can confirm; during the last few days of the testpunch, I used solely handheld controls and always used the triggers to punch. They probably should mention that you can do that in the controls somewhere; I only found it by accident.
Meanwhile Hanzo is crying in the corner, having never gotten a new legendary skin.
You’re forgetting the fact that Chihaya’s Confidant unlocks Affinity Reading, which is absolutely essential for min/maxing your time. Her arc is still lukewarm, but if you want to max every Confidant in your first run, you have to make a beeline for her the moment she unlocks.
Lythero *is* awesome.
His Genji is good, but he really shines when he plays Pharah or Ana. The only reason he’s known for his Genji plays is because they look stylish, but there’s other pro players that are better with him. Meanwhile Seagull’s predictive powers with Pharah’s rockets are truly something to behold.
Fchamp’s not the worst out of the lot, but damn was it satisfying to see him lose that Winter Brawl. That was a storybook finale, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen chat pop off so hard before.
I mean, he is in the game, but he’s already weak enough as it is. Don’t get me wrong, he’s hype as fuck, but a glitch to make him weaker would just be kicking a dead horse.
Obviously this leads to the very important question, “Where’s my Overwatch Saturday morning cartoon?”

Leo is back. 2017 is looking alright now.
Red cable car in front of a snowy white background? Perfect colors for Japan.
I can kind of understand why it’s Overwatch, though... all the work that Blizzard put into character design makes it so that it’s a lot easier to connect with the characters you’re playing as. You really feel like an indestructible wall when you play Reinhardt, or a badass cyborg ninja when you play Genji (once you…
I appreciate the move to cover more about sex in games, and think that Kotaku is the best site for exploring this. I may be in the grays, but if you’re reading this, I hope you know I’m cheering on everyone involved in it and hoping it all goes well.
I miss Tim Rogers articles. Still remember the Football review, one of my faves.

Does anyone know of any good video game live action/anime adaptations? I liked Takashi Miike’s Ace Attorney and Wreck-It Ralph captured the spirit of video games pretty well, but I’ve yet to see any straight-up adaptations that aren’t cringe-worthy.
