Don't know how this fared in the US (not well I'm betting seeing as it was cancelled after one season), but in Australia it was played out of order, missing episodes, in an irregular time slot and they wondered why it didn't take off.

Yes, I think we're all trying to forget that one.

Ah Goulies. 'Twas a large part of my childhood. Not because I ever saw it (not back then anyway), but because for a very young child in the 80s walking into the local video rental store, it was the most notorious VHS cover ever.

Seriously though, if they wanted Satan solving crimes, why not just do that? Why bother buying the rights to source material if what you intend on making is something significantly/dramatically other? You're already alienating any existing fan base and new watchers aren't going to care.

When I read this article's title I joked to my partner 'bet they're making Lucifer into a police procedural'. We were all hahaha because no way.

My son was born in 2012 and when he had to be admitted to hospital later that year, all the official paperwork referred to him as 'Master Luke H.'

I really loved it.

Read this years back - 'Villians by Necessity' by Eve Forward. The story of what happens after the final triumph of good over evil... And all is not as sweet as would seem, of course.

Gah. I remember crying when I saw this.

Call me Snake...
