Yes, that was more or less my assessment as well. This business of "my mother should have married a wealthy man for MY sake, because I deserve to be a rich wealthy man" was just fucked. It was also pretty clear that his best friend, who stopped speaking to him, did so because he was so disturbed by Elliot's beliefs,

"Kangaroo court" or not, he knew they were there when he signed up for school and AGREED TO GO TO SCHOOL AND FOLLOW A CODE OF CONDUCT AND BE SUBJECT TO "KANGAROO COURT" IF HE IS ACCUSED OF VIOLATING IT.

Did you have something to actually add, or...?

Did anyone miss the part where he SPECIFICALLY MENTIONS WOMEN AS HIS VICTIMS IN ORDER TO PUNISH THEM FOR NOT BEING ATTRACTED TO HIM? Because if you did, I could totally see how you would think misogyny isn't important in this case.

I don't get this either, this idea that men being emotionless is strong and healthy. If I was with a man who never showed sympathy or empathy, or a man who never cried, I would think the OPPOSITE. People who do not cry are NOT emotionally healthy.

That might be true if he hadn't belonged to several groups/forums that espoused the exact same hateful rhetoric that he did. Or if this was the first murder that was ever committed because a man expected women to be like gumball machines that you pop a quarter into to receive sex.

I was baker acted in Florida when I was 21. Due to fear I was going to harm myself. There were no videos or anything. Just my word against my Mother's and a very insistent police officer saying that I should go with him. I guess it was voluntarily admission technically speaking, when i think about it, but that cop

These are the same dudes who think all women want in men what they want in women.

Calling you an asshole isn't the same as making an argument you stupid asshole.

I'm betting he will lose, is the ability to graduate from a particular higher learning institution a right or something you'r entitled? Seems like the university's bylaws would be pretty clear about this kind of conduct/expulsion deal.

PLUS, I actually kind of LOVE the fact that he is suing. Because now his dumbass

I noticed!

I did. Every time I switch on the TV or open a magazine there's an advert telling me that I'll be rewarded with women if I buy this or that brand of deodorant.

Every freaking day if I walk down the street, regardless what I'm wearing, how I'm wearing it, even if I'm freaking riding a bike, someone will scream at me because I'm a woman.

Being mentally ill does not mean one is violent.

Also, he wasn't black. A young black man with the same video would have been visited by a SWAT team.

The beauty of being a rapist is, once you say "it was consensual" it is incredibly hard to prove otherwise. Particularly if the woman knows her rapist (which most do). The go to defense is, "she consented. she was too drunk to remember." So bros get girls drunk in public (look! witnesses to her drunkenness) then

Yes, you absolutely did, whether you are willing to recognize it or not. While the statement may be too symbolic for you, the idea is plain: expressing your masculinity through violent means is absolutely normal and acceptable.

If you don't subscribe to this or were able to live your life in opposition to this cultural

Wont someone think of the men, cuz not all men. There, fellow men, I did it for you you can go on now. Dipshits.

I got it from my Dad, then firmly shut it inside the closet... in the space I used to occupy.

It's written all around you. I think Karate Kid was the first example I remember, maybe Goonies.
