Thank you, this meme is getting old

Lately the MINI moniker has become a bit of an oxymoron as their cars get increasingly large, but the first and second generation Mini Coopers more than lived up to that storied name.

This reminds me more of the i3

Everyone in the comments section knows more than the teams of people who are paid by a billion-dollar company with a long racing heritage to study this sort of thing on a daily basis. Duh.

Alright, soldiers, who here has a clever plan to write this car off as a total failure without any more basis than its gestation period? Come to me.

Bleh, too much! You went too far! Really digging most of the overall design, but for some reason the tire marks rub me the wrong way.

The jalopnik moron-hive-mind has determined that it's not "good enough" for them and so of course cannot think critically about a car that's going to out-perform most things out there for 150k and look damn good doing it.

Your first line is literally the most perfect thing that's ever been said on this site. And it's so nauseating. You cannot have a fucking original thought here, otherwise you're branded as a douche/brand-whore/snob/elitist/"not-a-real-enthusiast"/moron/idiot/show-off/insert one.

You deserve more upvotes. Please educate these armchair quarterbacks.

+1, I agree with you 100%. It just irks me when people blame Acura for being behind on the car( as an automotive engineer I can only imagine how hard this project mustve been) when in fact it was someone's dumb idea to announce it nearly 9 years ago.. God knows how long the GT has been in production, but we didn't

I like the Ford GT from the pics that I've seen. The powertrain looks interesting (TT V6) and the fact that they'r ready to race it and produce it. All very impressive. Zero doubt.

How is the GT a better new car? There's not much about it that's technologically advanced or anything from an Engineering Standpoint that's really advanced about it.. It's just another 150k supercar.. NSX is the only supercar under 700k that has both the electric and otto cycle drivetrain combined WITH torque

A lot of times we look at old concepts and say, "they should/could release this today and it would still look fresh and I'd buy it." Well, Honda pretty much did just that and everyone's complaining. I actually think it looks great. It's no Ford GT and that's a problem to people like us who are paying attention and

lol finally someone who understands what the 9 years was for.. They could have very easily taken the 3.7L J37 and threw in a turbo and called it a day and had the thing done in 2 years, but when you have to ENGINEER an entire NEW drivetrain consisting of 2 NEW engines, it takes awhile.. As an Automotive engineer,

at least it will be a change from reading "hellcat" in every other article title like we have been for well over a month now.
