With all due respect to the Ranger, you have to understand that not following company policy can get you fired pretty quickly at any job in an airline. Even if it's for a veteran. And the only people who seem to make a big deal out of it are people other than the Ranger himself... Knee-jerk reaction? Veteran good,

Why is this on the Jalopnik front page? Being interested in cars doesn't mean I give a shit about a former military man from the US being treated like a normal human being by a flight attendant.

I avoid US Airways anyway, but not for this sort of reason. Maybe it's just me being Canadian, but I don't understand the fervor towards admiring military troops and showing them more respect than a teacher or police officer. Great, you've gone somewhere to "protect freedom" or "The American Way" or something

I don't disagree. Clearly it's more than a piece of cloth, but sometimes it seems like people respect the symbols far more than the actual people involved. From that perspective it's just cloth.

Dear Paul.

I'd say paying a better pension and battling psychological sickness caused by military service are far more respectful acts than empty symbolism towards a piece of cloth.

I agree completely.

The coats of first class passengers are hung, the coats of coach passengers are not. This guy flew coach. Why would his coat deserve special treatment? It would be a sign of respect to seat a pregnant lady or an elderly person in first class too, but does that happen when they chose to pay for coach? And what about

The whole group of people in the plane should've been put into quarantine because TAKING A VIDEO IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO when you're in a situation like this. God, people who film everything with their phones get my blood boiling. And it seems like every single one of them was like that on this plane. I

Different markets have different demands. EU market cars wouldn't sell in the US, US market cars wouldn't sell in Europe. And those are economically somewhat similar areas, now imagine significantly poorer areas.

Yeah, the Mito and the Giuletta need to be completely changed to rear drive sports cars like their '60's components, (except the Mito, just fix it)

Screw it. I'm just going to start looking for a low-mile Subaru Brat without rust. #donquixote

They are all cars. The trucks just ape their bigger cousins.

It's even got under bed storage, if I'm not mistaken. This, to me, actually makes sense as a work vehicle. Much more so than some double cab/small bed truck that's very tall and doesn't have fold down sides on its bed.

OH! Boy howdy I can't wait to hear the 'Murica-classes howl about this one.

They are building pickup versions of its competitors, like this Fiat Doblo. I believe this Fiat (as a van) will be/is available in the US as the 2015 Ram Promaster City.

You're so right about the duster. I see dozens every day, just in a different color:

Not any American or Korean brand has changed as much as the Chinese. I pick one of the major Chinese companies from building cheap knock-offs ten years ago to acquiring Volvo and developing their own cars now.

I'm gonna cheat a little and say Geely. From making cheap rebadged Daihatsu Charades (although I will give them credit for making an El-Caminoized version and selling it as the 'Urban Nanny'), to coming out with the fantastic-looking GC9 on a Volvo platform.
