Surely this means that we'll be getting a sporty rear-engine VW instead.

Are there any track cars like the Zenos that have an actual roof?
It's also supposed to be 8 inches longer than the CTS, which puts it slightly longer than the swb versions of the big Germans. Not sure why they said it's going to be smaller. So far we've heard to much both good and bad about this car, I'm still not sure what to expect.
Nothing in this article screams lame to me. 400 Hp twin turbo with electric boost? High Tech lightweight chassis? That sounds exciting to me.
Sure, premium luxury sedans with exotic technologies are fine, but the real sexiness has always been in garbage…
I think you're actually crazy.
Sore loser?
I think they have a valid concern. If anyone other than Boeing had listed a price like that they would never have been selected.
No I don't think so. Unless it was some awesome engine swap. I want one stock. I don't care if it's slow. I love them.
SUVs suck gas no matter what...the only hybrid I know of is the Highlander Hybrid...or you could try the diesel Grand Cherokees.
Keep in mind, Tavarish works on his own cars and assumes everyone else does as well. A $5k V8 BMW is not nearly as reliable as a simpler car that was less expensive to begin with.
You should get one. It should be a manual, RWD, Brown and diesel powered.

I understand that it's a great car, it's luxurious, cool, desirable, etc. etc. I also have studied marketing, consumer behaviour etc. etc. So I get that people actually crave to have one and are happy with it. I'm ok with that.
Believe it or not this was Europe's Cold War Jeep (later replaced with the G-Wagon) so that's why.
because WWII?
I'll paraphrase Ferdinand Piech in saying that VW execs needed something opulent in which to arrive at meetings with other German automakers, and that driving an A8 would work, but it didn't say "VW" on it. Yeah, he said it in an interview. Also from VW's marketing materials: It's everything we know how to do, done…
Not really sure about the unknown part... but Mega Track for obvious reasons.
Toyota's Euro boss (...) But here's how the C-HR hybrid is a hit:
It looks like they left space in the bumper for predator mouth and everything.
