Agreed, like I think I get what it’s going for but it’s just hard for me to watch. I know that’s probably the point but I don’t need more hard to watch things right now.

I got myself an XB1X for my birthday this week so I am gonna start catching up on a bunch of games while I wait for New Horizons and Persona 5 Royal. I had heard Game Pass hyped up a lot but maaaan what a steal. I already have too many games on this thing and I’ve just had it a few days.

“I’m the Blue Falcon.”
“Oh, right, the Falcons! You guys didn’t do so hot last season, huh?”

I love Stalenhag’s art so much, if this even only kinda captures the vibe of the source material I’ll still have to watch.

It’s weird in motion too, one corner of a character’s face is a Seth Macfarlane design, another corner is Groening style, and also kinda Bob’s Burgers-y. It’s like an optical illusion where you let your eyes zone out to make it look like each Fox cartoon.

I’ve been playing a lot of Coffee Talk, I think the genre of like visual novel + chill job + chill music + kinda scifi/fantasy world always gets me hooked (like VA11-HALL-A or Neo Cab). Coffee Talk leans more fantasy world than scifi world but the lovely mundane job is there all the same.

Made me oddly nostalgic for when Skyfall played on my college’s radio station every day.

My first thought! The On Cinema Oscar Special last night was absolutely nuts and incredible. 

Genuinely stunned at the ending of this, absolutely phenomenal work by everyone involved. That was a roller coaster ending.

I’m ready for the best critics to give us all the details on Oscer this year. Whooo’s gonna win....whoooo’s gonna lose 

The guilt of how long it’s been since I last played New Leaf is keeping me away. I’m getting New Horizons digital so I can boot it up whenever which I’m hoping will appease said guilt.

With Coffee Talk, VA11-Hall-A and Neo Cab, I think I really like the game genre of doing a mundane-ish but chill job while talking to your customers in a scifi/fantasy world.

I’ve been in an Atlus mood (prolly cuz of Persona 5 Royal being so close), playing Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE on Switch right now, having that game be portable is a huge step up from the clunky Wii U setup. I loved the opening to this, after how devastating the episode before it felt, I needed some sight gags like that one awful photo they use for Bojack or the saga of the bojeebies kid. Plus it was nice to have some animation callbacks like the obvious Bojack waking up intro style and that low shot from the ocean…

Oh they saved the Bionicle point and click game MNOG I am eternally grateful to them.

I legit have never seen a show before Bojack deal with antidepressant weight gain and still say “even if they have side effects like that you stillneed to take your antidepressants if they make you more stable” and I’m so glad the show came at it from that angle both in the first half of the season and here.
