Their relationship is so amazing. They’ve been through so much but the payoffs to their fights and near breakups are generally them still supporting and loving each other and finding a way through it.

I am so down for a Splatoon 2 tournament. It’s like the only online multiplayer game I’m any good at.
Trying to resist the temptation to buy Spider Man right away, as I keep falling into the trap of buying games that I’m not super hyped for when they’re new, then barely touch them as I play my usuals. Then the price drops dramatically and I feel stupid for buying day one. I will get it eventually of course, as it…
My favorite bits in the Incredibles are still when they have regular family comedy in a superhero setting, like on the highway chase to Syndrome’s machines “We’ll get there when we get there!”
Damn, rest in peace Burt. All Dogs Go to Heaven was a childhood favorite of mine. I’ve been catching up on a lot of stuff he was in lately too from family recommendations, what an amazing actor.
I saw a rumor that the reason Boyle left Bond 25 is because EON were pushing for him to kill Bond and the end of the movie, leaving it open for a cliffhanger resolution of him not really being dead and/or some kind of “Doctor Who type regeneration” into his new actor.
Fantastic read, can’t wait for the rest of this series!
RDR2 is probably my main buy this fall, but a lot on this list is tempting. I have to go against my bad habit of buying like every new game at once.
Really glad to see Hollyhock is back. Don’t you dare hurt her anymore, show.
YES completely agree on P4G, it captured the small town vibe so well and making them have running stories helps a lot. It’s there a bit in P5 as well but Shibuya’s size makes it harder to follow around so many townsfolk like P4G. I’ll need to add Radiata Stories to my list!
They’re so beautiful. It’s like a lost art form in games today. There’s only a few recent ones I can think of that used them, but none the way FFVII did.
Oh my god I would love for some more pre-rendered backgrounds with blocky characters, that seems like an untapped nostalgic well that video game devs haven’t even begun to tap into. Something about every game I’ve played with pre-rendered backgrounds makes them feel so much bigger. FFVII may be a “smaller” game than…
Mostly playing Shenmue and my constant playthrough of Persona 5. I’m at the forklift part of Shenmue and while it probably sounds abysmal on paper to have to work at the docks forklifiting stuff it’s just so relaxing.
I’m not caught up all the way on the show but I don’t see how it would work very well without her.
...And I just realized hours later that today is Thursday and not Friday.
Also if I remember right the visual dictionary for TLJ said Snoke’s ring was made from the floor of Vader’s castle.
This reminds me I need to finish my replay of the series before 3.
That story where someone introduced themselves as “just an intern” to him makes me absolutely bawl every time I read it.
I feel the same way. Geralt isn’t interesting to me as a protag, and the clunky controls plus slow start make it hard for me to get invested. I want to play it to hear what I’ve heard hyped so much but at the same time I haven’t had much fun when I’ve played it. Now with CD Projekt Red’s recent grossness I don’t know…
That’s pretty dismissive.
