My BFF never had a car until he retired and moved a few doors down from me in FL. He was apoplectic when his car wouldn’t start one day.

You would be surprised how much of what’s “fun” in an enthusiast car is actually code for uncomfortable or complicated.

Everytime I hear this I pull up the 59 Bel Air vs the 09 Malibu front quarter crash test on Youtube.  Shuts them up with the quickness.

Honestly, most of the dumbest stuff I’ve ever heard about cars comes from enthusiasts and is best summed up as “there’s only one way to enjoy cars, and that’s my way.”

I still hear people complain about how cars used to be safer because they used more steel. A lot less often than I heard that in 90s, but it still leaves me dumbfounded every so often. They’re not even all boomers, either. 

Anyone here remember Saturn owners? Not the SC2 guys, but the LW and SL owners. They had some serious doozies of beliefs when it came to cars.

The Tuscan speed 6. Even though TVR claims they started production in 1999, they started delivering them to customers in 2020 so these will only really become available for import this year.

I mean technically you can start importing them now because they were made in 1999, but there’s probably a great spec that was made in 2000 that I’d want.

His comment about Tesla highlights the massive conflict of interest Musk has. No CEO should be in government, much less the world’s richest, with lucrative government contracts.
