I wonder if Sansa's lie to Jon comes up later in the season. I suspect that it will and that Jon goes against Sansa's wishes about Littlefinger.

Hardhome!

My theory on Littlefinger is that he is the one who figures out that Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen are Jon's parents and that he provides this information to a paranoid Cersei at the end of the season. Littlefinger knows the players involved and likely met Lyanna prior to her death. He is also skeptical of the

I'd actually like to see Jon and Dany myself.

Jon Snow was brought back from the dead, so he is a pretty good candidate for TPTWP.

But they still have support.

Perhaps Tyrion is using tactics that worked in Westros and which he think may work in Meereen without respecting the cultural differences of both places.

I am glad that Dany got herself out of this bind without deus ex dragons.

Who are rebels who have support in the city.

The Sons of the Harpy are using guerilla tactics against an army trained for traditional fighting.

I think the subplot is interesting because of Dany's obvious blunders in Meereen.

So would I.

Jon and Sansa never even had dialogue with each other before. And yes I was concerned about Sansa just missing Jon and am glad that they opted against that. We really needed a nice moment of joy for once and boy was that a moment of joy.

Having Jon and Sansa take back Winterfell but not save Rickon is something that D&D would do and is in keeping with the world. It wouldn't make sense to give the heroes a traditional fantasy victory without consequences.

Because he knows Robyn is infatuated with Sansa and it is easy to manipulate him using the idea that he will save her.

They were all killed because of fatal flaws (but Jon got "better"). That is the point. Physical strength doesn't win.

Given what has happened in the shows during the last five years, I think that an injection of strong woman (and actually strong women, not the Sand Snakes) is welcome.

What is very satisfying to me about GOT and ASOIAF is when they throw characters together. I loved Jaime and Brienne in both the book and show and I loved Tyrion and Dany meeting up at the end of Season 5. It was nice to see Sansa and Jon meet up; the Wall and the North should be interesting this year.

I think the point is that perhaps Tyrion isn't as smart as he thinks he is and perhaps he has as much to learn as Dany and Jon do.

And? That means he is a bada** in tourneys, not that he can stand manipulation and torture. Margery is better at manipulation because that is how she as a woman has survived in this world. She cannot survive through physical strength or a sword; she has to survive through words.
