"Actually, isn't it Varys that does that? Casually recount how he switched them out?"
Nope. That is Faegon the little snot as well. He dismissively mentions that someone else apparently died in his place. If the snot becomes yummy dragon food in the next book, that will be good.

Well, we will have to disagree on this. I read the books because I love the Stark children and Jon and Tyrion and Dany. I could care less about annoying side trips to Dorne and the Iron Islands and Essos. I want Jon to exact revenge against the Boltons and retake Winterfell and him to reunite with Sansa and

And why? Did you actually like Quentyn the clueless or the fake Aegon detour? I certainly did not.

No. It was still awful, but at least there was less of it. And no FAegon! And Dany and Tyrion actually met.

Book Cat was more of a cool and calculating aristocratic lady than TV Cat. Hiding the Targaryen heir in Westros would still be a threat to her children and the Stark and Tully houses so I doubt that she would have gone for it. And that is probably why Ned kept the secret from her.

Yep. It is possible. I thought that Thorne was an interesting character with a valid viewpoint. I thought that GOT showed why he was the way he was during the siege of Castle Black, when he was a very effective leader.

Actually, I'm fine with the changes because I understand that the medium is different and the last two books were in serious need of some edits. Martin really went into the weeds with them. Season 5 really tightened up some of the problems I had with the last two books. There is no Aegon plotline and we didn't have

Cat in the books is different from Cat in the TV shows. Book Cat would have likely have protested Ned raising Jon even more than she did because it could have harmed her children. It would have been a relief for TV Cat however. But the knowledge still would have put her and Jon in greater danger.

There have been some hints of a tragic love affair in earlier seasons rather than an abduction. I thought Littlefinger's skepticism of the official story when speaking to Sansa last season as well as Barristan Selmy remembering Rhaegar as an honorable man point in that direction.

If Lyanna pleaded with him, I think that Ned would have regardless of whether it was rape or not.

Perhaps it is similar to what is happening in the books with the double cross.

Eww. I really hope that doesn't happen.

Actually Dany is Jon's auntie, not sister. And I don't think that Jon has to accept or like the situation when it is finally revealed. I suspect that he won't and we will get full emo Jon.

He is a religious zealot.

I think that the viewers are likely to find out this season, but I am not sure that Jon does. I would also like the reveal to come from someone who is currently living putting two and two together rather than just through Bran's flashbacks. Littlefinger would be a prime example of someone who could piece everything
