Had a similar incident with a deer head that had been in a deep freeze in my aunt’s basement.... Thought it was a dead critter in the wall.... Until we opened the freezer to discover a maggoty deer head rotting in the broken freezer... I gagged and she promptly ran out the basement door and barfed in the grass.
