It’s also an issue on how these companies get their videos enough views (paid for them) and likes to get INTO the algorithm in the first place. It’s all the manipulative aspects of Google, SEO, YouTube, etc. put into an icky demented copyright infringing product. Plus all they’ll do to get around the first copyright

A good example of everything is this from Retsupurae:

Strangely never heard about this definite departure until today when it was recommended reading on the 300th episode. When Arizona recently got the call that Sophia was coming back, I suspected Ramirez was going to be definitely gone but never thought it dated back to ‘16. Probably out of hope that she was just on a

OMG, I know! I’m iffy on how she sings it to herself (except that it leads to Callie waking up) but when she sings to her baby (McSteamy ::tear tear tear:: looking on), “I was made for you!” CAN’T. EVEN.

Thank you for the post. Jezebel pursued an open secret story inside of an industry that’s incredibly male dominated and where misogynist views (women aren’t and can’t be funny) still exist. The nature of CK’s comedy added icky complexity to the endeavor. Strong CK defenders (outside the comedy world) are to CK what

Also from Musical ep. Though the original is amazing, Sara Ramirez just gives so much to “The Story.” I can’t even especially with that smile. I’m prepped to cry again as I finish watching the clip:

God, that first musical number (though corny at times) just sends me into tears. I’ve watched from the first and still do today.

The Tig turn broke down more of my barrier between the artist/comedian and the man. The fact he praised her and played such a part in bringing her DESERVINGLY into the spotlight and then things.... changed (the clown skit, for one). It was a great example of how career help and support doesn’t have to lead to

Simultaneously listening to Dumb People Town and Bert Kreischer said he thought Anne Frank and Helen Keller were the same person through most of his life. Anything is possible.

After searching for this story based on the costume key words alone, I now have this and the other WWII-themed Halloween costumes on top of every AV and Jez story. There’s also a child WWII Evacuee costume that looks like a weird combo of the Molly and Samantha American Girl dolls. Perhaps it comes with ration cards

This was a great show to attend. I’m looking forward to watching the special.

Husband and I went to one of the two performances for the show. I had an anticipation for the time he would talk about his wife (I have an interest in how we handle grief, mourning, etc.). He seemed like the least likely person to have such a tragedy happen to him as well as the most perfect one so that he could chew

So yes on that! It’s always mind-bending whenever I encounter the “fuel your metabolism engine” reminder.

I love your comment. Describing your own experience, listening to someone else’s, noting the difference and appreciating it without making a judgment on whose is “right.”

Yes! Dear God, a 220 lb woman burns calories differently than a 180 lb one. Not that I have experience at that difference. I think of discussions or shows on morbid obesity and how much effort/energy/calories it takes to move 400-600lbs around. Or just the daily resting calories burned!

Love the long distance example. I know I accidentally push buttons and get the walking route from Chicago to Wisconsin when falling down a Google Maps hole

Mini-cupcakes seems totally gendered. “Walk off this cupcake fattie lady! We all know you womens love them cupcakes!” If it was the number of steps like fitbit or even iPhone’s pedometer, that’d be more neutral to me.

Agreed esp about the mini cupcakes. That would just make me want to eat mini-cupcakes on the way there. Knowing Google, it would eventually add sponsored links to the food examples. Burn off these cheese fries from JJ’s on your walk to work! And then something from Scientology just because they’re all the hell over

In the worlds Von Trier creates on screen and off, it seems perfectly normal. Also because Björk wore a swan outfit and is from Iceland where they used to wear dead people’s skin as pants.

I hate and am intrigued by my continued lack of surprise at any of this. This continues to be like telling me the sky is blue. Or a horrible horrible gray that I’ve always known and accepted. Everyone else is surprised or in a renewed state of shock. The world is dark and full of terror? Duh. Welcome to part two of my
