I, too, would like to report my success with Armour Etch. My experience was so successful that I posted a tutorial about it in my blog, with pictures of the process. Hopefully this helps any of you who are on the fence about giving this a shot; it really does work.

I just wanted to report my success story. I just tried this last night on my completely "crazed" lenses.

After reading the article, I sought out a supplier in the UK via google and hit upon Hobby ([www.hobby.uk.com]) who posted one to me for a sum total of about £8.43. Thats about $2,000,000 in this post-recession world we now live in.

Just say no to the anti-reflective coating. I thought it would be nice, but honestly if I looked at my glasses the wrong way they'd smudge and it was really distracting and hard to see through. Somehow even filthy lenses without the anti-reflective coating are easier to see though.

Also being an Optician I have to agree with Ron Hubbard. This will work on POLYCARBONATE lenses, anything else and you are taking a risk of not being able to use the lenses ever again. Even polycarbonate will get messed up some times depending on the coating under the AR coat.

Ok, I lurk on lifehacker, but I need to comment on this one.
