A buddy of mine is a TDI specialist in the Boston area...I feel like every car I've seen there has 200k+...
I had this conversation last night with my dad:
I would like to offer as #11: Chevrolet's gamble on the Corvair line. A departure from the traditional concept. Smaller, full line offering something for almost every segment: Coupe, Sedan, Wagon, Panel Van, Passenger Van and 2 rear engined pickup models.
At an average MSRP of $100k USD (higher base price overseas) as well.
Its simple, if you need a car that can run 700 miles with no stops over 30 mins then the Model S isn't for you. Fortunately that sort of driving represents less than 0.001% of driving behavior so I don't think Tesla will be spending much time working your range extender or losing sleep over a lost sale. Dan Edmund did…
No, Ferrari would probably tell you to fuck off and then sleep with your wife.
Pretty sure I cracked my company cars windshield using too much heat! Good thing I dont pay for it!
This is dumb. If it were a "BAD" ice storm that door isn't opening.
The costs of maintenance should also be counted here. What's the cost of a 3000 mile service? how about 30,000 mile, 60,000 mile and 100,000 miles on a BM or Merc? Dealers gouge you on in-warranty servicing. My wallet is having conniptions just thinking about it.
"In Canada, the lack of a proper electric infrastructure outside of major urban centres (specifically in Ontario, where I live) is a big worry."
The fact that it is expensive (though not more than it's luxury competitors) is one of the things that makes it an object of desire. If anyone had said that an EV would inspire widespread lust just 5 years ago, they would have been laughed out of the room.
Im sure the NHTSA didnt do that.. they're too busy pulling people over and drawing blood.
Pay for a first class ticket.
Love the wagon. The truck needs a lower stance and more manly grille styling. The Model S headlights and grille don't work for a truck. Tesla could basically take the Holden Ute and electrify it for me :)
Can't imagine how much Sonny Bryans BBQ sauce has been slopped in those interiors.
