My boy racer days are long behind me, but I’ve driven older CVPIs, and was always amazed at how well they handled for such a big car.

Thanks. It’s 10 years old but only had 38K miles on it when I bought it. Only 10K of those were put on between new and 2014 according to the (clean) CarFax. With the exception of adding factory CVPI suspension bits and maybe factory dual exhaust when the time comes, I plan on keeping it stock, although I have already…
Cougars weren’t built on the Panther platform.
I’m with you all the way. Just bought an ‘07 MGM with only 38K miles on it last July so I started joining forums lile Crownvic.net, and a couple of MGM Facebook groups. It’s been quite a change from the VW TDI forums I’m used to. You have the ones who want to play cop, others that want to donk theirs out with some…
At 0:20 he said he said “I’m sitting in a Model S for the first time in a really, really long time”. Then at 0:22 seconds, he says “I’ve only ridden in one of these once before”. Leads me to believe that he has ridden in one, but not driven one.
IIRC, as he was doing the acceleration run, he said that it was the first time he had ever done that. I got the distinct impression that is the first time he had ever driven one.
That just shows how good Tesla can be. Porsche has been in business how many years now? How many tweaks and changes have been made to the 911? Tesla did this on version 1.2 (my designation). It can only get better from here.
I think his brain was just scrambled from the lack of noise and he was getting disoriented. This was the first time he had driven the car so you have to take what he says with a grain of salt. It looked like at the speed he was going, the car was squatting down into freeway mode, which I’m not sure is the best setting…
Too bad he was just kidding. I could totally see him trying to soft-land it on Mars, turning on the Autopilot, and taking it for a drive up there. Isn’t that his end game anyway?
I’m not really into these dystopian Mad Max type movies so forgive me for being Mr. Buzzkill here, but every time I see that still of the guy with that trident face “guard”, I cringe. One good punch to the face and he would be saying goodbye to both his eyes. Even worse, on the movie production level, a misplaced…
Why? It’s 13 inches shorter than my ‘07 Grand Marquis car. It parks just fine.
I wonder if the author got that length correct. My car, a 2007 Grand Marquis, has an overall length of 211.1 inches. That’s over a foot (13 inches) longer.
Yep. If it has a hat, it’s a company. Here’s mine.
vegasstyleguy > I just don’t see this as a 50k car (with options)
They do that now, but half the time the guy still drives like he’s being chased even though no police cars are within sight of him. Besides, when he finally stop, it’s not at his house and he doesn’t just sit there. He hoofs it and is gone before the ground units show up.
Yep, you’re right. Too bad they only meet once every two years. Imagine the income if they worked for a few months every year!
