Personally, I love black F1 cars. Black always makes for good liveries.

I don’t think I’ve ever been a Chrysler apologist, but the high frontal overlap test was introduced in 2012, well after this platform was developed and a lot of engineering is required to do well in it. Normally, I think it’s a ridiculous test and I don’t want to waste money on the engineering it takes to do well in…
Yeah, the only Pacifica with a removable second row is the hybrid.
I will say that these days, kids have to be in special car seats/boosters until they’re about 35 so the ability to use stow-n-go is somewhat limited.
The mid-row Stow and Go compartments will hold 120 bottles of beer, FWIW.
Pros: It shares the same basic layout as the Pacifica: Fold-flat rear seats and a removable middle row
“mo’ money, mo’ problems”
awesome, thanks for that :-)
In case you are still interested in how navigation is done in the Dakar, here is a Steam Guide from the Dakar 18 game that really does a good job showing what is required: How to navigate the Dakar without co-driver
“...he was running in this thing with an engineer in the right seat, not a proper rally co-driver who is used to calling stage notes.”
I think it’s MB’s attempt to help with this.
We have a friend who calls these things “huggies”. And when she left whatever god-forsaken town she’s originally from, she assumed that everyone called them that.
Question - When is jalopnik going to do a contest that results in the distribution of branded koozies?
As someone who was a high school sophomore in 1986, it’s a little... strange to hear applause at a rocket blowing up.
So you live in either Titusville or Cocoa? Cool area. I used to fish in Mosquito Lagoon and the Banana River.
I’m really jealous. At my house I only hear dog barks and shitty 90's music.
The AFTS did not fire - according to Nasa and Musk it ruptured as expected due to instability becasue of the missing aerodynamic component of the capsule. Also, the above poster is correct - that was not an explosion, just a fire - there was no overpressure event.
Rocketlabs has recently started flying under their own AFTS as well, after running it in “shadow” mode for several flights.
Without the capsule, Falcon is not aerodynamically stable in that direction of flight, especially with a dummy second stage still attached, so it began spinning.
Falcon is equipped with a flight termination system, which can trigger a vehicle destruction either autonomously (if it leaves the defined flight corridor) or remotely by the Range Safety Officer. This did happen with the last F9R test flight back in 2014 - they were testing it to the limits of its controllability,…
After the Dragon separated from the rest of the rocket, the remaining stages were destabilized and eventually exploded
