“My boss in the early 00s had a 2001 Grand Caravan, and I got to drive it from Indy to OKC and back. It’s a very capable highway cruiser”

It’s a three part video, and I’ve seen the first two, the “re-pimping” so to speak. The third wasn’t out yet, and was about them presenting it to someone. Should be interesting to see how he likes it.

Well something’s not right because credit card companies don’t post updates all that frequently that you’d notice a change like that in less than a month. I’d like some sort of proof on that one.

From a technical perspective, I’m more concerned about the severe pressure than the hydrogen’s flammability. A 700bar (10KPSI) tank is a bomb waiting to go off, even with an inert gas. The flammability is a risk mostly during fueling - I don’t know if I trust consumer-facing, low-budget fueling stations to keep

Yes, explosions are a serious problem with CNG vehicles.

I wasn’t saying that I considered the use of hydrogen in cars an issue, I just know from life experience that mentioning “hydrogen” to some people does conjure up the Hindenburg. The unfamiliar does sometimes scare people.

The explosiveness of hydrogen cars is not an issue, at least no more than on a battery or gas car. The hindenburg was also supposed to have been filled with helium, but was instead filled with hydrogen, using 1930s cotton fuel cells, and then tried landing in a lightning storm.

Kristen, thanks for the great article.

Yup, totally agree with that. From a quality check standpoint, the “proof load test” or Dynamic Characteristic Verification was not performed. Based on comments after the mission issues, it didn’t seem like anyone was willing to rule this a failure, even when it was clear they didn’t hit the ISS. My thought was

But, as I understand it, the mission was also to test docking to the ISS. Even under human control, there are a lot of control loops, sensors, thrusters and mechanical items that would have been tested with a successful docking. It might be a hard sell to the safety oversight committee that the first time you bring a

I mean, the point of this mission was to assess the viability of a craft meant to carry human pilots and passengers into space safely.  Unless something catastrophic happens during re-entry, I would reluctantly say Mission Accomplished.  No one would have been killed or even in significant danger as a result of what

You fail miserably as a personal fiance writer too.

Wow, thank you, I really appreciate that candid feedback so very much.

Toledo has a great maritime museum!

if you’re going to go out and experiment with this

The Guardian trashed it in Elliot’s own verse format. <3

It’s a Ferrari, and a two-seat convertible at that. It’s never not going to be collectible in some way.

I take it you haven't seen Ferrari's laptops?
