I’d agree with the idea of a tablet or phone app except out of doors like at the beach.

Still ancient to us...
I’ve owned one of these for a couple of years and it has been great. I bring it on trips and it has never had any issues with bounding around in the luggage. And between the two speeds and the two adjustment rings you can get quite a lot of variation in the amount and pitch of the noise produced.

I signed up for Audible the last time there was one of these deals. I have since found that listening to a book is a mixed experience depending on the narrator. We first got The Boys In The Boat by Daniel James Brown, narrated by Edward Herrmann, which was very pleasurable to listen to.

Speaking as someone who is on the 23rd day of a 25 day trip, I can only say, it depends on who you are with and where you are going. We came up from Florida and visited Grand Teton and Yellowstone parks and spent a few days otherwise in Wyoming and Montana. During this time we missed either evacuating due to Irma or…
I just have to mention that I not only owned this game but actually played it for about a year. I never did finish a complete game of course, but damn it dominated my life for quite a while.
Thanks! That’s a great help :)
Sorry for being dense, but was does the Equifax credit freeze actually do?
Maybe a stupid question (probably is), but how do I know if I’ve been affected by this hack? I’m already having my credit monitored due to the OPM (Office of Personnel Management) hack a few years back. If those folks don’t see anything specious, can I assume that (so far) I haven’t been affected?
In the past few months I seem to remember two software updates. I have a sixth generation unit I got early this year. I’m running iOS 10.3.3
OK, pretty much off topic, but with all these Apple product announcements, I’m happy that they are not only keeping the iPod Touch, but the next gen will supposedly be cheaper. At least that’s the way it was mentioned a month ago. Will this new “iPhone going to be a grand” announcement also mean they are going to bump…
Having lived on the east coast of Florida for fifty years, I’ve gone through a lot of storms (latest one was Matthew of course). I’ll throw out a few thoughts I’ve picked up over the years.
Oh crap, was that today? I didn’t see any mention of it on the Internet. Hope someone got some pictures...
I’d be happy to donate to a fund that would pay for all those people here in Central Florida who almost never use their signals. I though it was because they are clueless or rude, but this article makes me realize they are just being frugal. So let’s pitch in some cash people!
We got our pass last year and next month intend on using the crap out of it in Wyoming and Montana, anyplace they will take it.
We live in Brevard county, Florida, also across the state from Tampa. From historical records it would seem that sinkholes are more prevalent towards the center of the state, but I guess Tampa could be an outlier, or influenced by ground water removal. We are pretty close to the coquina ridge that runs along the east…
Six years ago last month I retired and I decided (with my wife’s encouragement) to start walking regularly for health and general overall fitness. So for six years, about five days a week, I walk four miles each day. Pretty much the same path as there’s only one good way to go that has sidewalks to avoid the traffic.…
The main article is very good, and I’m hoping that what I have to add will be of additional use to the readers. I’ll just throw this out there as a suggestion to folks who are building up towards their retirement, which most folks ought to be doing of course, or have already retired.
We’ve found that the best solution to “I’m bored” is “Go find yourself something to do, or I’ll find you something to do”, usually delivered with a ominous tone and then a maniacal laugh. Almost never hear from them again ;)
The cruise is out of Galveston with a stop in Mexico. If it was a four day ride out of, say, Miami to the Caribbean, then maybe, but I’m not really interested in spending a day at a Mexican tourist trap.
