In my job, I get X number of paid days off per year. They can be used for vacation, or illness, or to get the car serviced. So, unless I’m on my deathbed, I’m coming into the office because I’ll be damned if I’m going to lose a precious day of vacation.

There are lots of things to criticize Bezos for, but not being into meeting up with his birth dad is not one of them. Not everyone who was adopted wants to know the person who gave them up, and it’s their right to draw those boundaries.

To be fair, we all mainly suck. But we can get better.

It’s not over. This is a good start, but clearly there’s a lot more work to be done. 2020 is coming. So is 2022, 2024, 2026, etc., etc., etc. This isn’t building a table, after which you can sit down and admire your handiwork. This is cleaning the house and doing the laundry, after which you can be sure you will soon…

I mean, it’s a let down, for sure, but they were going to lose eventually. Their states are just trending too far away from them, and if it wasn’t this election it would have been the next one. I’m proud of them for the times they made hard votes knowing this was the likely outcome.

You know what? We worked our fucking asses off to get here. I’m tired of hearing that Texas doesn’t care, or that we’re a write-off red state.  We did something incredible. We’re still doing it now.

She doesnt care enough to do it when it means something or actually go out and speak during the campaign because that might cost her money but she’s gonna jump on the bandwagon after the fact.

This is pure magic but I really wish she posted these like, yesterday. I don’t know if there’s enough time left and I’m so scared he’s not going to win.

Honestly, this seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. I get not wanting “spoilers”, but that desire is not really reasonable when compared to the fact that a piece of media may cause real psychological damage to an unsuspecting patron who has issues around self-harm or suicide.
