I had just picked up my daughter from daycare. It was a warm spring day, so all of the windows along with the sunroof were open. It was peak traffic and we were the last car to make it through a 4-way stop light only to find us immediately at the back of the line for the next stop light (multiple lights, less than a

I took a cab home one night from the bar. When I told the driver that he missed my exit, instead of proceeding to the next exit and turning around, he yanked the wheel to the right sending us airborne over/through a snowbank piled in the median while covering his eyes (with the car still in motion) yelling “oh my god,

Even though MN has its fair share of racist scumbags and even though they are very likely to congregate at a Vikings game to act like a bunch of collective assholes, this story doesn’t really pass the smell test for me. I know that I am likely to suffer a lot of backlash for saying it, but I find this story hard to

No. Although she lived in what many might consider a St. Paul suburb, most of her district was quite rural (they did some re-districting a few years back and changed the district where Bachman lives..making it slightly more suburban (district 4). But at the time of Bachman’s reign of stupidity, her district (district

I have a state trooper friend who works with the drug sniffing dog patrolling the interstate. It doesn’t matter what car you’re driving, if you have out of state plates and are going exactly the speed limit he is going to try to pull you over every chance he gets. The dog takes care of finding the drugs.

I doubt the jihadis are too keen on Christmas.

Holy shit! I dumped a girl for saying “awesome sauce” and becoming incredulous when I said I didn’t like Big Bang Theory (the show, not the theory).

I don’t love him or hate him, but his word usage reeks of someone who is trying too hard to sound intelligent.

Are people still murdering out their cars these days? Is it still da bomb?

Was it designed by Knight Industries?

Installed Yellow Stuff brakes on my 2000 Wrangler. I followed the break-in process to the letter and they still squealed like a school bus. They stopped well, but I threw them in the garbage after 1500 miles of annoyance.

I used to love these pictures in Childrens Highlights. Let’s see if I can fund all of the silly things. Long sleeve dress shirt tucked into short pants. Cell phone holster. Hairless legs, no socks and tennies. A motorcycle with 4 tires. None of the gear all of the time.

No. I was just trying to point out that Miatas and LS swaps are the solution to everything on this site.

Perhaps you just need to drive a Miata with an LS swap.

You’re right about weight and that’s why I can’t find a way to get on board with the whole adventure bike thing. I’m 200 lbs, 6’1’’, fairly strong, fairly experienced rider (I’m 37 and have been riding since I was 5 or 6...I’m old so I can’t remember) and I can’t imagine riding a tall, heavy-ass bike anywhere off

Effing around on dirtbikes...I hope to be able to do it forever.

The DR650 is a great choice. You can ride it anywhere...an actual adventure bike. The KDX is not the perfect bike for all occasions...particularly the street. But it is the perfect $2000 bike for most occasions and most riding abilities. I can raise hell on it in the woods or let my girlfriend buzz around the trails

That’s a cool bike. No doubt about it. I want one...until I remember that the whole rig pictured here cost a grand total of $8,000. And the KDX is now plated. I’m not saying that I have it all figured out, but I’m pretty sure that this setup could get me most places I would ever need to get.

This guy’s attitude is why I hate the NFL and everyone assosciated with it. Fuck him and them. I’m good on this end too.

I’m still not sold on the adventure bike setup. To me it seems like it is the worst of both worlds: not that great on the street and likely terrible in the dirt. I remember watching The Long Way Round and thinking ‘those poor bastards...that bike weighs a million pounds, they’re sitting a mile in the air, and those
